A week ago Monday was the much anticipated turnabout night at the Boardwalk, where all the hunky bartenders and staff dressed in drag. Some of them even broke my heart (Omar…see pic…LOL). It was a real fun night. Friday night I headed down to Azucar for the opening of Jaus Fridays, which is a new night where house music gets a Latino twist. The opening night featured DJ Cindel who was really turning the beats! On Saturday the Corner Pub celebrated their 2 year anniversary of being a great neighborhood bar. Also Saturday was the start of the 5th annual Bubba’s Country Fair at Scandals which was once again a huge success (It was so busy I felt like I had to take a cab from as far back that I parked in the Kmart parking lot….LOL). Saturday night Tom (owner of the Palace) celebrated his 50th birthday at Discotekka. On Sunday night Azucar had another big event with the 60 birthday of Mariloly. The club was filled with well wishers as everyone wanted to wish the Mariloly, who has entertained us for so many years, a very Happy Birthday!
